A Contra Costa County deputy sheriff who shot and killed an unarmed man during a slow-speed pursuit in 2018 is facing homicide charges after District Attorney Diana Becton closed a nearly three-year investigation into the killing this week.
Prosecutors charged Deputy Andrew Hall Wednesday with one count of voluntary manslaughter and one count of assault with a semi-automatic weapon, Becton said at a news conference.
