The state of California agreed to pay $1.35 million in attorney fees to Harvest Rock Church, along with a permanent injunction from enforcing COVID-19 related orders that imposed restrictions on religious gatherings and indoor worship.
The Pasadena-based church challenged Gov. Gavin Newsom's ban on gatherings for indoor worship services. Harvest Rock Church v. Newsom et al., 2:20-CV-6414 (C.D. Cal., filed July 17, 2020).
