Lawyer appointed to represent murderer in new proceedings
Pat Harris helped represent Scott Peterson during his original trial, when he was convicted of murdering his wife and their unborn son.
A San Mateo County judge appointed a Beverly Hills attorney on Friday to represent convicted double murderer Scott Peterson in resentencing proceedings and a possible retrial after the Stanislaus County public defender and the county's alternate indigent defense firm declared they both had a conflict of interest.
