Mid-year minimum wage increases take effect for some cities
Some California jurisdictions are experiencing increases in their local minimum wages rates, effective this week.

California has been on a steady incline as it relates to minimum wage, with annual increases established through 2023. However, many cities believe it is not fast enough and have enacted their own minim wage laws. The current minimum wage is $14 per hour in California for all employers with 26 or more employees.
