Law firms expand, betting on continued M&A surge

In the first half of 2021, businesses spent $1.74 trillion on M & As involving U.S. companies, compared to $511.79 billion during the same period last year, according to data from Refinitiv Deals Intelligence, which tracks M&A globally.

Law firms are expanding their corporate practices as they bet that the surge in mergers and acquisitions activity will continue.
