Many courts in metropolitan areas — including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Clara and Sacramento counties — had kept their mask mandates even as the state relaxed its requirements last month.
Several superior courts are reinstating mask mandates for all employees and visitors in the wake of recommendations by health departments due to a reported rapid increase in COVID-19 cases.
