AB 5 controversy over gig drivers is still live, US judge says

U.S. District Judge Dolly M. Gee dismissed the Uber’s and Postmates’ constitutional challenge, concluding that Assembly Bill 5 is, in fact, constitutional, despite voters’ passage of Proposition 22.

Despite the voters' approval of Proposition 22, Uber's and Postmates' constitutional challenge to Assembly Bill 5 is a live controversy, a federal district judge ruled.
