LA court rule changes let junior attorneys gain more experience
The local rules of court, which go into effect Jan. 1, give judges discretion to allow more than one attorney per party to present oral argument on a motion, select a jury, deliver an opening statement or final argument, examine or cross-examine a witness.





By giving early career attorneys the chance to argue motions and perform some trial functions alongside experienced colleagues, an initiative the Los Angeles County Superior Court announced Tuesday will benefit the legal system and clients, some lawyers say.
