Tom Girardi barred from practice in federal court

Chief Judge Philip S. Gutierrez of the Central District of California barred Girardi from practicing in federal court on Friday after the suspended plaintiffs’ lawyer did not respond to an order to show cause.

On the same day that a judge disbarred Thomas V. Girardi from practicing in federal court, the trustee handling his law firm's bankruptcy sued another firm over contingency fees.
