Samsung, Micron and SK hynix will not have to face a class action alleging they colluded to fix the prices of dynamic random access memory chips, a federal judge ruled Friday.
U.S. District Judge Jeffrey S. White dismissed the antitrust claims against the DRAM manufacturers, rejecting allegations of a conspiracy to maintain inflated prices. He found that they operate in a legal oligopoly in which a few companies dominate the market.
