Long Beach city attorney to retire, endorses assistant for the job
After 26 years in the job, Charles Parkin will not seek reelection next year.
After 26 years as the Long Beach city attorney, Charles Parkin will not seek reelection next year and has endorsed Assistant City Attorney Dawn A. McIntosh as his replacement.
“When my term ends here at the end of next year, I will have had 38 years with the city,” Parkin said in a phone interview Wednesday.
