San Diego attorney has seen how the legal profession has changed over the last six decades

Attorney Susan L. England, who just celebrated her 85th birthday, was admitted to the California Bar during a time when women were commonly employed in jobs as secretaries, teachers or department store clerks – not attorneys.

San Diego attorney Susan L. England has been fighting for clients for more than half a century while blazing a trail for women - and she has no plan to retire anytime soon.

"I have been representing employers since being admitted to the California Bar in 1962 in worker's compensation cases," she said. "It's such a fantastic practice that once you get into it you really enjoy it and don't want to give it up."
