Ex-Dentons lawyer wins motion on arbitration venue

The state Supreme Court’s decision, which also grants a stay, is an incremental victory for Jinshu “John” Zhang in his legal battle over whether his case against Dentons should be determined by an arbitrator in California – as he prefers – or by one in New York.

In a win for a former Dentons U.S. LLP attorney who sued his former firm for wrongful termination after he was fired, the state Supreme Court has granted his motion to order an appellate panel to determine where the case should be decided.
