Highway patrol union backs Sacramento DA in AG race

“Do I think the current appointed attorney general has a very different ideology than I do?” Sacramento County DA Anne Marie Schubert said. “Absolutely. If you think what’s happening in Los Angeles and San Francisco is good for California, he comes from the same ideological background.”

Anne Marie Schubert’s campaign for attorney general picked up endorsements from two important law enforcement unions on Tuesday. But the Sacramento County DA still faces two rivals — Southern California private practice attorneys — for the right to take on incumbent Democrat Rob Bonta.
