Critics of AG challenger highlight rising crime in Sacramento

Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert has tried to link incumbent Rob Bonta to recently elected progressive district attorneys George Gascon and Chesa Boudin. But Bonta pushed back, saying the key to improvement is getting guns off the streets and disrupting gangs, which he said are focuses for his office.

Are crime statistics for individual cities a good way to evaluate a county district attorney? And can conservative or progressive prosecutors point to evidence for their approaches?
