Remote hearings might be new normal, circuit chief says

“We’ve learned a lot about appearing by video,” Chief Judge Mary H. Murguia told a Bar Association San Francisco meeting.

Mary H. Murguia, who took over in December as the chief judge of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, said Tuesday the appellate court is moving back to normal as it gradually tries to resume normal operations during COVID-19.
