In Alameda County, where DA Nancy E. O’Malley is retiring, all three candidates on the ballot are Black, for the first time.

With incumbent Nancy E. O'Malley stepping down from the district attorney position she has held for 13 years, Alameda County is one of 14 in Northern California where the office will see a ballot battle.

Civil rights attorney Pamela Y. Price, Chief Assistant District Attorney Terry O. Wiley and Deputy District Attorney Jimmie L. Wilson are seeking the position in the first Alameda County DA election with all Black candidates.
