Chesa Boudin says he was never given a chance
“The goal of my opponents and detractors from the start has been to take advantage of the limits on my ability to run the office, to even go into the office with my staff, to undermine the effective ability of my team and I to implement policies,” Boudin said, regarding the start of his term coinciding with the COVID court shutdowns.





The week in January 2020 that he was sworn in as San Francisco’s district attorney, before he “had time to implement a single policy,” a website appeared seeking signatures to recall him, Chesa Boudin recalled this week.
Boudin said he believes he was never given a fair chance to do the job well because of limitations brought by the COVID-related court shutdowns.
