Access to bank records and DMV photos sought by the bar
“These proposals to enhance regulation of client trust accounts represent a profound and meaningful advancement of our public protection mission,” Board Chair Ruben Duran said Friday. “By focusing on prevention and proactive regulation, we will be equipped to reduce the incidence of client harm. We very much look forward to the input and support of the Legislature and the Supreme Court in these efforts.”




Aspiring to increased authority to investigate attorneys for possible legal and ethical violations, the State Bar Board of Trustees has included in its legislative priorities the amending of banking and vehicle laws to provide more tools for investigations.
