Judge Sidney R. Thomas of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals announced Tuesday he will take senior status after his successor is confirmed.
Thomas, who is from Montana and ended his seven-year tenure as the circuit’s chief judge in December, is the latest appointee of President Bill Clinton to step down.
