Amazon sued over work from home expenses

“During the pandemic they sent everybody home, and under California law, they were required to reimburse employees for work expenses incurred during this period. Amazon failed to do this. They knew they were working from home using their computers, internet connections and cellphones, and that came out of their own pockets,” plaintiffs’ attorney Craig J. Ackermann of Ackermann & Tilajef said.

Amazon violated state law by not reimbursing employees for internet, cellphone and other expenses required to work from home during the pandemic lockdowns, alleges a federal lawsuit.
