US attorney, SEC file charges in alleged $1M insider trading scheme

“Insider trading is not a game — it’s a federal crime,” FBI Special Agent in Charge Timothy M. Stone said

A federal grand jury indictment has accused a Fremont man of securities fraud after allegedly trading stock resulting in more than $1 million in profits based on inside information obtained from an employee of the cloud communications company Twilio Inc.

Dileep Kumar Reddy Kamujula was charged with two counts of insider trading law violations, and a forfeiture claim.
