State AG weighs in on fight between Epic Games and Apple

Attorney General Rob Bonta reasoned that California’s Unfair Competition Law has protected countless residents from unlawful, unfair, and fraudulent business practices. And, also, he said, the rule “does not depend on a concurrent antitrust violation.”

On Thursday California Attorney General Rob Bonta filed an amicus curiae brief to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the ongoing Epic v. Apple case, asking it to uphold the state’s Unfair Competition Law.
