Winston & Strawn partner confirmed as USPTO director
Kathi Vidal, a well-known patent attorney in Silicon Valley, will lead an organization with 13,000 employees and a $4 billion budget.
The Senate has confirmed Kathi Vidal, a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP in Silicon Valley, to serve as undersecretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
