Conservative group can't have state employee union records

Superior Court Judge Shelleyanne W.L. Chang agreed with attorneys from the state that the records were protected under collective bargaining rules. The plaintiffs had filed two California Public Records Act requests.

A Sacramento County judge rejected a bid by the conservative Freedom Foundation to hand over records on hundreds of thousands of state workers in California.

Superior Court Judge Shelleyanne W.L. Chang agreed with attorneys from the state that the records were protected under collective bargaining rules. The plaintiffs had filed two California Public Records Act requests.
