San Diego asks to prosecute broker of homeless hotels
City Attorney Mara E. Elliott is alleging evidence of fraud and insider trading against Kidder Mathews Inc. and Jim Neill, who purchased 40,000 shares of stock of the Residence Inn Hotel Circle in Mission Valley and collected $1 million in commissions from two deals.




The San Diego city attorney is seeking permission from the Housing Authority to file criminal charges and pursue a pending lawsuit against a real estate broker and agent who advised on the acquisition of two residential hotels to give temporary shelter to homeless people and others affected by the pandemic.
