Regulator must reassess pet collar chemicals, circuit says

The Natural Resources Defense Council petitioned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to cancel the registration of tetrachlorvinphos, or TCVPs.

The federal government must revise its assessment of the dangers of a class of chemicals often found in pet flea collars, a unanimous three judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday.
