$85M settlement OK’d over Zoombombing
As part of the settlement, Zoom agreed to enact sweeping reforms, including implementation of a user report system, addition of new security features, creation of a program to track serial disruptors of Zoom meetings and a formation of a partnership with law enforcement to identify Zoombombers handling illegal content.




A U.S. judge gave final approval for a $85 million settlement to resolve claims Zoom Video Communications Inc. failed to protect its users from “Zoombombing” as well as falsely claiming it would encrypt communications end-to-end between users and improperly sharing its data through third-party software from companies like Facebook and Google.
