Pharmaceutical companies face big battle in San Francisco

U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer of the Northern District of California will preside over the bench trial between the city and four corporate defendants: Walgreens Co., AbbVie Inc.’s Allergan, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.’s Anda.

With opening arguments set to begin Monday in San Francisco’s case against the opioid supply chain, pharmaceutical companies face one of their biggest battles yet.
