Importer wants brewer to release ‘Kraken’ name and brand

U.S. importer of Kraken rum says Seattle brewer is using kraken name for its products without permission.

The U.S. importer of the Jose Cuervo tequila and Kraken rum brands sued a brewer alleging the use of the word “Kraken” and a design motif used for competing alcoholic beverages infringes on its intellectual property.
