Extortion suit is bid to derail deposition, Lisa Bloom says
Guess CEO Paul Marciano sued in Los Angeles County Superior Court, saying Lisa Bloom, who often represents women in high-profile harassment and assault claims, was trying to extort him, and that he has a whistle-blower’s testimony to prove it.

Attorney Lisa Bloom said that an extortion lawsuit filed against her by a founder of the Guess apparel company was an attempt to derail his deposition scheduled for next week on allegations that he sexually harassed or abused at least 20 women, including former Guess model Kate Upton.
“I am finally taking Paul Marciano’s deposition next week. He is getting desperate,” Bloom wrote in a statement. “He is losing the case and he knows it.”
