Huntington Beach prepares to ask voters again to make city attorney appointed

“I guess different political agendas or ambitions have created friction between my office and certain members of the city council,” City Attorney Michael E. Gates said.

The Huntington Beach City Council put together a Charter Revision Committee that appears ready to suggest asking voters to make the city attorney, along with the treasurer and city clerk, appointed instead of elected positions.
