DOJ, San Bernardino sheriff return $1.05M seized from armored car group

Empyreal Enterprises LLC had accused the government agencies in January of unconstitutional seizures of cash from cannabis dispensaries. The company does not transport the marijuana itself.

The U.S. Department of Justice and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department returned $1.05 million seized last year under civil forfeiture laws from a company that transports money for cannabis dispensaries, which in turn dropped a lawsuit.
