State Bar will email most whose records were made public
The website indicated that some 1,300 names appeared in the 1,034 confidential records that showed evidence of a page view. Among these, the website said six contained the case type “Inactive 6007(b) (3) Mental Illness or Substance Abuse.”




The State Bar announced Friday it will email most of the complainants, witnesses and respondents whose names appeared in the approximately 322,525 confidential records that were made public when a website accidentally received the files through an unknown security vulnerability in the case management portal the bar uses.
Those whose emails are not available will be notified by post, the bar said.
