Google’s Fitbit smartwatches are heating up and burning users’ wrists even after a recall, alleges a proposed class action filed in the Northern District of California.

Google, which acquired Fitbit for $2.1 billion in 2021, said in March that the overheating was “very rare” and limited to the “Fitbit Ionic” model that was discontinued in 2020.
