Judge drops several retaliation claims against semiconductor company

“This case raises very important issues for the tech industry, Silicon Valley and the semiconductor industry especially. Retaliation is a known impediment to the vindication of all sorts of workplace rights, including the right to be free from discrimination and harassment as well as the right to equal pay,” said Danielle A. Fuschetti of Sanford Heisler Sharp LLP who represents the plaintiff.

A Santa Clara County judge has denied in part a semiconductor company’s demurrer against a lawsuit filed by the former senior vice president of its marketing division, who claims she was unjustly fired for speaking out against gender discrimination in the workplace.
