Will bar’s probe of its Girardi handling ever be public?

“While details of this investigation must remain confidential to give it the greatest chance for success, this stipulation is a public record that demonstrates the State Bar’s progress, continuing effort, and resolve in pursuing this investigation thoroughly and completely,” wrote Ruben Duran, chair of the agency’s Board of Trustees, in a statement.

The State Bar’s investigation into its handling of complaints against powerful but now-disgraced plaintiffs’ attorney Thomas V. Girardi will move forward after a Monday agreement between the bar’s outside counsel and the trustee handling his bankruptcy estate.
