Screen manufacturer sues Volvo again for patent infringement

Onscreen Dynamics filed a complaint in 2021 on similar allegations that was resolved by a voluntary dismissal. Volvo, represented by Patterson + Sheridan from Texas, never got to file an answer before litigation suddenly stopped. After being in litigation for three months in the previous case, Onscreen Dynamics claims Volvo now has knowledge of the patents it is alleged to be infringing and is willfully continuing to do so.

A screenmaker filed suit against Volvo for the second time on Tuesday for patent infringement of its touch-screen technology that prevents unintended usage, saying that after the previously dropped case, the car maker had to have knowledge of the patents at issue.
