Skeptical circuit questions $80M fee for Apple settlement
U.S. District Judge Edward J. Davila of San Jose trimmed the plaintiffs’ attorney fee request from $87.73 million to $80.6 million but approved it even though it exceeded the 9th Circuit’s typical 25% limit for lawyer awards. The attorney fee is 26% of the award.
