AG Bonta supporters place ads for 1 of 3 opponents
“It’s not an uncommon tactic, but it’s one of the more brazen executions of it that I’ve ever heard or seen,” said Rob Stutzman, a spokesman for Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert. “It clearly demonstrates that Bonta and his allies are trying to determine who their general election opponent will be.”
A group registered to support Democratic Attorney General Rob Bonta’s reelection campaign has been running radio ads that appear to boost another candidate: Republican Eric P. Early.
