Jewish parents, teachers sue over “racist, anti-Semitic” curriculum

The complaint says the defendants were unhappy with the Legislature’s decision to remove Israel and Palestine from the Ethnic Studies Curriculum in its final iteration because of public outrage and decided to draft their own curriculum. Plaintiffs further assert defendants intend to teach the allegedly anti-Semitic material in secrecy.

Jewish parents and teachers filed a complaint against the United Teachers Los Angeles and Liberated Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum Consortium, stating Los Angeles teachers and union officials intend to “insert into the Los Angeles public school curriculum, overtly racist as well as anti-Semitic teaching material.”
