Gov. Gavin Newsom proposed his revised 2022-2023 budget proposal which directs $5.1 billion in funding in an effort to rebuild the judicial branch’s infrastructure following the logistical nightmare of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The proposed revision increases the original price tag for the state judicial branch by $200 million in total and adds nearly $15 million in crime fighting funding to combat the fentanyl epidemic and Medicaid Fraud.
