Pipeline company to pay $230M in Santa Barbara oil spill settlement
“It took seven years of extensive litigation, but with the hard work of federal District Court Judge Philip S. A $230 million settlement has been reached between Plains All American Pipeline and a class of Santa Barbara workers and residents in a lawsuit regarding the 2015 Refugio Beach oil spill, in which a corroded pipeline spilled some 15,000 barrels of crude into the Pacific Ocean.
