30-year-old murder solved thanks to tech advancements, DA says

The crucial piece of evidence that led to the killer was fingernail scrapings on the victim’s body, and the crime lab was able to solve this case because the science has improved since 1988, according to Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert.
