Defense team saves Norwalk school district $30M

“While the award against the district was just over 1% of what his lawyers asked the jury to award, there are no winners in this trial,” said Harry Harrison of Tyson Mendes LLP, who represented the school district.

A Los Angeles Superior Court jury in a $30 million sexual assault case which involved high school students decided Tuesday the Norwalk-La Mirada school district was not to blame for supervisory negligence and awarded the plaintiff, a minor, less than 3% of the asked for damages from the district.
