California gets 2 new district court judges

Alameda, Riverside county judges confirmed by US Senate

California’s overburdened federal courts gained two new judges on Wednesday.

The U.S. Senate confirmed Trina L. Thompson to the U.S. Northern District of California by a 51-44 vote. Senators also approved Sunshine S. Sykes to the Central District bench 51-45.
