Medical provider took 8 months to report breach, lawsuit says

“To date, we have no reason to believe that any information was published, shared, or misused as a result of this incident,” the defendant, SuperCare Health, posted on its website.

After respiratory medical care provider SuperCare Health had its patient data breached – potentially exposing names, Social Security numbers and diagnoses – the company took eight months to report it, according to a lawsuit seeking class certification in federal court in Riverside.
