Backers of ‘aid in dying’ law seek to intervene against challenge

“The reason why we got involved is because we have four intervenors that are involved in this, and they each have a very specific interest in the litigation. The state’s interest is much more general,” said Jessica Pezley, staff attorney for Compassion & Choices Action Network.

The organization behind California’s aid in dying law has moved to defend the statute in court.
