Backers of ‘aid in dying’ law seek to intervene against challenge

The organization behind California’s aid in dying law has moved to defend the statute in court.
John C. Kappos, a partner with O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Newport Beach, moved to intervene on Wednesday on behalf of the Compassion & Choices Action Network, two doctors and Andrew Flack, a 33-year-old who has terminal cancer.
