“There are a variety of health related situations here,” Gary Praglin of the designated law firm explained on the phone Tuesday. “The way it works, the acute symptoms appear after the exposure: headache, nausea, vomiting, respiratory problems, eyes, throat and skin irritation. Once the exposure stops, they can last over a five- to six-week period. People should not be getting sick, but some are still showing signs of illnesses.”




A Los Angeles judge appointed Cotchett Pitre & McCarthy LLP as lead counsel in a lawsuit by thousands of plaintiffs from the city of Carson accusing an oil refinery and a chemical warehouse of exposing them to high levels of hydrogen sulfide in what was considered one of the largest chemical spills in the area.
