EEOC deal with Activision ‘not good enough’ state tells circuit

‘The agency is trying again – for the sixth time – to derail this proceeding and prevent eligible workers from receiving the benefits of an $18 million settlement that a federal judge has scrutinized and approved. They are again resorting to false claims that the judge previously said were ‘simply inaccurate,’” said Elena R. Baca of Paul Hastings LLP, representing Activision Blizzard.

Activision Blizzard’s settlement with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for $18 million is not good enough and would compromise California’s case involving the same matters, according to a state challenge at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
